IF/THEN - Products for people dealing with treatments

Customizable product (Assistive technology)

Overview

B.EAUTYlities is a research project focused on co-designing assistive products that consider the impact of cancer treatments on specific daily needs. It includes two customizable products to manage a central venous catheter during the user’s daily routine: “IF”, a customizable bracelet product designed to protect the catheter during outdoor activities, and “THEN”, a customizable waterproof product intended for use during showers or beauty-care routines, enabling the creation of an open mold to pour silicone and manufacture the final part. The project provides open Grasshopper (.gh) definitions* that allow users to customize products and export STL or STEP files for fabrication with desktop-size 3D printers, supporting accessible, personalized assistive technology solutions. 1
